       1942 "V" Cover
The 1942 cover below is one of my favorites - at the height of world War II with a big red V for victory . This was one of the earliest appearances of the "great new Willie Hoppe Titlist". Who would have thought that a basic Carom King 4 color veneer cue would disappear and become the monster cue of all time - the Titlist.

The 1942 Catalog contained one of the first ads for the Willie Hoppe Titlist.

The Willie Hoppe Professional was formerly "The Medalist Professional".

The 1951 Catalog contained a reference to the new "Professional Taper on the Titlist - describing it as easier to bridge with.  Now term Pro Taper is a common description to almost no taper on the bridge area of a shaft.
